Here are my top 4 foods to support your fertility Here are my top 4 foods to support your fertility health:

Avocados: Avocados are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, fiber, and potassium, which support cardiovascular health and stable blood sugar levels. They also contain antioxidants like lutein and zeaxanthin that benefit eye health and reduce inflammation.

Pomegranate: Pomegranates are packed with polyphenols and antioxidants, including punicalagins, which support heart health and reduce inflammation. Their juice and seeds can improve blood flow and may help protect against oxidative stress and chronic diseases.

Brazil nuts: Brazil nuts are an excellent source of selenium, a mineral that supports thyroid function, immunity, and antioxidant defense. Just one to two nuts a day can meet your daily selenium needs while providing healthy fats and other nutrients.

Your digestive tract plays a central role in elimi Your digestive tract plays a central role in eliminating estrogen. After your liver metabolizes and conjugates estrogen for removal, those compounds are routed to your gut to be expelled in stool. Certain opportunistic or imbalanced bacteria produce an enzyme called beta‑glucuronidase that can deconjugate or reactivate estrogen in the intestines, allowing it to be reabsorbed into your bloodstream rather than eliminated. This enterohepatic recycling can contribute to higher circulating estrogen if gut microbial balance is disrupted.

Supporting your gut microbiome can help reduce beta‑glucuronidase activity and limit estrogen buildup. Practical steps include eating plenty of fiber and diverse plant foods, enjoying fermented foods and probiotic‑rich sources (e.g., yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut), choosing prebiotic foods, minimizing unnecessary antibiotics and overly processed foods, staying hydrated, and supporting liver health with cruciferous vegetables and regular exercise. Some people also explore targeted supplements under professional guidance. Prioritizing gut balance is a key strategy to discourage estrogen recycling and accumulation.

Support your gut to stop estrogen recycling and buildup.
